Day 3: New Design, French Rioting, and Death of DADT

Starting off, I'm going to go ahead and introduce some of the changes to the bloggity page today. First thing you should notice is that it's black and reeking significantly less of femininity. Hopefully. Next thing is that there's a visit counter over there on the right. As of posting, there are 89 pageviews, not counting myself. Thrilled? I think so. Thanks guys. I love you too. Another super awesome feature is the "Best This Week" module on the right as well. Check that shit out. Also, the fish up there aren't new, but if you ask me super nicely, I'll make you a new one in whatever color you want. Because I love you, that's why. <3

Next up is the rioting in France. Basically, kids our age are putting on masks and dressing in black, then going out and setting fires, putting up roadblocks, and rioting in general. Why? Because the French government is going to raise the retirement age to 62 from 60. I have to hand it to these kids, this is really badass. However, I still have to say this: What The Fuck, France? I get it, they're upset. But if I know anything, it's that this is just going to get the govenrment even more pissed than they were before. This is still going on. And oh yeah, they're blockading gas stations (the kids), so the ones that aren't blockaded have oficcially run out of gas. Good luck with that, France. PS, that picture was taken today:

Lastly for now is the fact that as of today, Don't Ask, Don't Tell is done. For now. From the looks of it, there are more lawsuits to come, but for a little while at least, openly gay people are being admitted into the military. So all day, men who were discharged have been going and signing up, like this guy Lt. Daniel Choi, discharged July 2010. Re-enlisted yesterday. Give him a virtual round of applause. Even though I can't support a war like the one we're in, he's going to enlist to protect America, and he deserves it. Even if he's Asian and won't be able to see out of his slanty eyes on the battlefield. ;)
